A Practice Unifying Consciousness and the Body

Through a qigong practice that combines meditation, breathing, sound, and movement, we create a unified state of body, energy and consciousness that is effective for both maintaining and improving health and cultivating an awakening state of consciousness. The practices are simple and easy to learn and are appropriate for beginners as well as for those who are experienced meditators, yoginis or qigong practitioners. All are welcome!

Benefits of the Practice:

Increased energy & well-being

People who do qigong regularly experience increased energy and well-being as well as a reduction in stress which helps to maintain good health.

Healing & health improvements

A large body of research demonstrates that the practice of qigong can lead to the improvement, and even the resolution, of health issues and illness.

improveD RELATIONSHIPS

Qigong practitioners report that their relationships become more harmonious and that they experience more fulfillment and happiness in daily life.

Development of consciousness

Qigong can be a powerful method for developing consciousness and achieving a more awakened state as well as for the cultivation of intuitive abilities.

Meet Your Teacher—Patricia Seator

At the beginning of 2001, I was fortunate to attend a Zhineng Qigong workshop and discover a practice that synthesizes and amplifies all that was most important to me in my studies and daily practice of the previous two decades. Zhineng Qigong unifies consciousness, qi and the body through meditation, breathing, movement, sound and healing methods, and brings the body along on the journey of awakening. Practicing together naturally connects us heart-to-heart in a mutually supportive community. I especially love practicing and teaching qigong in nature, which further supports our awakening to essence, our true nature.

Qigong in Nature

If you want to have more energy, to feel more alive and connected, there's no better way than doing qigong in a natural setting. When we practice in nature, we draw directly on its pure energy and expand our boundaries to include all of life.

On Saturday mornings, we meet in the beautiful, secluded Stratton Park to do qigong, connecting with nature to gather its pure energy for improving health and awakening our deeper consciousness. Our practices include guided and silent meditation, breathing, sound and simple meditative movements and healing methods that unify body, energy and consciousness. In this open and unified state, we connect with nature together and in solo time, and share our experiences in a supportive group environment. That sharing can include visual or written journaling that we may choose to do during our quiet time in nature.

When: Saturday mornings from 10 AM to 12 noon from May 3 through October 25, 2025.

Where: Stratton Park (distinct from Stratton Open Space), located at 1819 W. Cheyenne Rd, just east of the Starsmore Discovery Center. During inclement weather we will meet indoors at the Mountain Qi Studio, located at 322 N. Tejon St., Suite 226.

What to bring: 1) A stool, folding chair, exercise ball or mat to sit on outdoors; 2) water; and 3) whatever you need to protect from sun, wind, light rain or cold, depending on the weather.

Parking: Onsite

Fee: $20 for a single session. Packages are offered: four sessions at $60; eight sessions at $100 and a season pass (16 sessions) is $160.

1) Qigong movement, breath, sound or meditation instruction that can help you establish or deepen a practice

2) Assistance in integrating the benefits of your practice into your daily activities and relationships to improve the quality of your life

3) Healing focused in one of two ways: a) a personalized consciousness-based qigong healing session; or b) attuned support for transforming blockages through deep observation from a pure consciousness state.
